About

Mission Statement

Our mission at South Platte River Review is to publish literary fiction, poetry and art from both new and established writers, poets, and artists. As a collective we strive to be good literary stewards of our community, nation and world by publishing a journal based on our shared values of diversity, equity and inclusiveness. We are committed to being a fully inclusive, antiracist and multicultural journal.

We encourage LGBTQ+, BIPOC and marginalized persons to submit to South Platte River Review.

We do not tolerate discrimination (whether actual or perceived) based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, or transgender status), national origin, disability, age or genetic information (including family medical history).

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

South Platte River review respectfully acknowledges that the land we are on today is the unceded traditional and ancestral homelands of the Cheyenne, Arapaho and Ute Nations.

We acknowledge the 48 contemporary trial nations historically tied to the lands that now comprise Colorado but who now live in the American Southwest, the Great Plains and the Rocky Mountain Region.
